Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® is the most widely used instrument in the world as a foundation for understanding self and valuing differences. It is a tool that draws on the personality concepts of Carl Jung and is designed to aid in understanding our own personality type and others in terms of the preferences we have around four key areas:
- Energy - Where do we gain our energy; how are we energised;
- Information - How we gather information and what we pay attention to;
- Decision making - How we make decision, and
- Living - How we live or orientate ourselves in the world.
A Myers-Briggs Session will assist participants in:
- Identify your own type and understand more about your strengths and potential weaknesses
- Identify your dominant and auxiliary functions and create strategies for developing least used functions
- Align type to temperament to create greater clarity of individual attitudes and functions
- Demonstrate an understanding of team members individual differences
- Use a common frame of reference to assist with conflict resolution
- Build respect for team members through understanding their strengths
- Participants will be able to use the knowledge and skills from this workshop to interact effectively with others, model leadership behaviours and communicate with and build cohesive teams for achieving planned outcomes.
