About Banksia

Banksia Research and Marketing was established in July 2004 to provide professional and affordable customer/market survey facilities, promotional and public relations services to small to medium sized businesses in the Adelaide Hills and country regions of South Australia and western Victoria.

Since its establishment, Banksia Research and Marketing has provided superior customer services to clients through numerous local government surveys, arranged and facilitated various focus group activities, undertaken a range of mystery customer projects, designed and presented Customer Service Training Sessions and team building sessions using Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, written and distributed copious media releases which have been picked up by local, state and national media outlets and produced many promotional publications.

Moya Stevens - Principal

Moya has worked in both the private and public sector, primarily in the communications arena. She has tertiary qualifications in Journalism, two post graduate diplomas in Management Studies and wide experience in and understanding of organisational leadership and corporate structure. Hosting Vice-Regal and Ministerial visits, she has expertise in social etiquette and protocol.

In Local Government for 10 years, Moya has a developed grasp of community consultation processes, public communication and needs analyses. Sensitivities of community issues, lobby groups and the disenfranchised are all facets of her insight into community liaison and communication.

Training of staff, particularly Customer Service and team development has featured throughout her career. Gaining Myers-Briggs Type Indicator accreditation in 2006 has broadened her appeal as a trainer and facilitator of successful staff activities. She has presented workshops on a variety of topics to conferences up to several hundred delegates.

Building a successful camaraderie with local, state and national media, Moya has had repeated achievements in both the print and electronic media for her clients.

Moya has produced three local histories, which have been published and are included in several public library collections. She has a deep affection and appreciation of the value of community and has served on numerous local boards as well as held Chairman positions for professional associations and has represented organisations and community groups at a variety of consultations, investigations and lobbying activities.
